USA Elderly Care Map

This map displays a downloaded database of Medicare approved nursing home care facilities around the nation. The homes are ranked by staff ranking of one star up to five stars. Five stars are the best ranked facilities. Also noted on the map are nearby medical and rehabilitation centers. ZIP codes have been color coded to reflect the population of elderly, which typically corresponds to where most of the services are located.

A map user is able to drill into a general area of interest and quickly determine the most reliable facilities for their loved ones’ placement. Additional dataset can easily be accommodated, like hotel locations or nearby family entertainment centers.
