In this business map, we’ve accessed Consumer Expenditure data for Vehicle Insurance Costs included with MapBusinessOnline. We used Projected 2016 expenditure data to color code Counties across the USA. Most area vehicle owners pay between $750 and $1250 per year and are color coded shades of green. We also imported from MBO public data statistics on crime across America. We symbolized that data with colored varying sized color circles using the auto theft column in the full crime dataset. The correlation shows that where there are higher auto thefts, higher insurance costs follow. This unsurprisingly applies to urban areas.
