MBO Tips & Tricks - Edit Search Options
Map & Data, that blue box that floats over the left side of you map, contains a lot of editing and map customizing capabilities. We recently added Edit Search Options. You'll find this option setting when you open the Map & Data edit gear. Under Map Options look to the bottom. Open Edit Search Options to select how you would like to conduct spatial searches. If, for instance, you often search by a radius, do you want to collect data points or ZIP codes that are intersecting with your circle, intersecting at 50% or more, or just collect those strictly inside of your map object. It can make a difference. Give it a shot.
Lightning Video - How to Import a Territory Scheme
Import your territory scheme from a prepared Excel spreadsheet. This is a fast way to create your base territory layer. Regions and Divisions cannot be imported and must be created on the map. Here's the lighting video.
MBO Feature of the Month - Edit a Map Object Properties
When a user places a map object (circle, polygon, drive time) on the map a small toolbar is associated with that object. The second button from the right on that toolbar is the Edit Map Object button. Use this feature to change line size or color, turn fill off and on and apply color shadings to fill. Here is where you can assign text to a map object. The last, and sometimes critical, function here is the Change Order button, the ability to move a data layer to back or front of the map object.
